So i'm looking for some new coilovers for the front. After my uca totally fell apart at 65mph I figured its time. I've had the toytec ultimate coilovers for about 100k miles. ZERO problems, no leaks. Except it has rusted to all hell from chicago / illinois salt. Because of this i'm looking for something comparable in terms of reliability and no upkeep. Not so much because I dont care but because the salt has a habit of seizing everything up and I dont want to deal with pulling stuff apart at 30k to screw with valves. So i'm looking for stuff that rides as good if not better than the toytec ultimate coilovers, gives me 3-3.5" of height and is just plain reliable. I'm attaching the photo of my totally nasty but still working toytec coilovers....

...don't mind the ball joint shoved into the tire. This is after the failure.

I have you tried spraying everything down with fluid film before the winter? Even Kings are not resilient to rust from salt.

Decided to get a new set of the same. Can't really beat the reliability of these and performance. Probally the only set of co's that have almost a uniform good review from everyone. Not the best but damn good for the job.

Indeed. I'm pretty sure Toytec are based off of Bilstein shocks. If you were just wanting a 2.5-3" lift then I would've said Bilstein and then not even worrying about rust, cheap enough to replace when needed.
