Show me your shell!

Maybe the whole bed is flexing.I have not had this but other member say the needed to an bed stiffeners.

 

I bought this for 600 from a dealer yesterday, searched for months on cl. And hour later someone posts up and identical shell for 300. Both from the same town I drove 100 miles to pick up

 

Thought I'd share my truck. Bought it two months ago and have a 72 inch roof rack that will be installed hopefully next weekend. I have not done anything to the truck YET, I'm not a huge fan of the rims but I got a good deal on the truck so I can't complain.

ARE z series. Found it on Craigslist for under $1000. Pretty solid deal I think.

 

That's a screaming deal!! There aren't many third gen caps on CL yet, so to find one local, color matched and cheap is a score.

 

The crazy part was, I was away for some training when I saw it. I had planned to order one from a local dealer when I got back. I had everything picked out and even talked to the dealer a couple times. I told them I couldn't miss that deal, but I still let them do the wiring. Stars just aligned for me that day I guess.

Ok guys sorry if this is the wrong place but im hoping someone can help me out with a shell question. I'm looking at getting an A.R.E. Z series and i want the keyless entry option. I have an aftermarket key fob for my compustar remote starter. Will the Keyless entry work with the aftermarket system? Has anybody done it? Again sorry if this is the wrong spot. Hope someone can help me out. Thanks in advance.

 

I'm looking at a Leer cap on their website, I can't figure out the bed length thing. I have a double cab short bed(2016). Is it 60", 61" or 62"? When I select 60", as I thought the truck was a 5ft bed, it tells me there aren't any models available.

It came with the truck when I bought it, orignal invoice said $1200 carpeted ceiling, otherwise it's pretty bare bones. Spends about 50% of it's time on the truck and the other 50% I take it off to haul stuff.

Thanks. I’ve been lurking on and off for a couple years. TacomaWorld has a crazy good knowledge base. Learned a lot.

 

Dang, I shopped around a little and was $3K including install. Now I'm thinking I should have shopped some more. I bought the Z with rails/Corebars, full LED light system, 12V power, and some other small add-ons. No way those few other options were $1K.

 

Picked up this bad boy today! Sold my black one for $400 and got this for $500. It's meant for a regular cab but I can live with that.
