I'm not sure if there is a post for this... I tried searching and didn't find anything. Is there a way to show the lifetime MPG for the tacoma? I can see the tank MPG and the driving session MPG, but I can't figure out how to show lifetime MPG. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

There are several apps for your phone that can track that for you.

Yes, go into settings on your dash, I think the option is on drive screen info or something similar. Select that, then you'll figure the rest out. My lifetime fuel economy with 31,000 miles is 22 mpg.

Use fuellie. My lifetime mpg for every drop of gas I've ever put in the truck is tracked. The answer is 17.7 for the 2016 TRD Offroad with 6MT. :)

Here are a few benefits of Fuelly such as the information that you can extract out of it.

Not only can you track fill-ups, you can also track maintenance and other modifications done as well as the costs if you want to track these items for financial reasons.

It might be part of Entune, but my '17 Limited will show it. Although you can reset it, which shows the original, but starts it new. My 2017 averaged 21.7 for the first 2k miles, and 21.9 for the past 13k miles.

I know that if you reset Trip A it will reset the MPG. I've been using Trip B to calculate my monthly mileage however I'm going to be switching A and B so at least I can get a monthly average.

theres a setting in the dash cluster that will let you display average fuel economy, tank average, trip average etc on drive info 1, 2, or 3. The one you want is average fuel economy. This one you can reset but I believe it will track MPG until you manually rest. Here's a video I found.

"Average Fuel Economy" isn't really lifetime.
The manual says that it displays the average since the function was reset, but I believe that includes battery discharges/disconnects.
And even without resetting or disconnecting the battery, mine fluctuates way too much to be what it says...

Excellent milage for an awesome truck.

I just did my very first fuel up in my Tacoma....exceeded 20mpg and I hardly used the cruise control during this first tank....I'm very encouraged as to the improvement over the 4x4 Frontier I drove the last 10 years.

Wow, that's worse than my 06. Guess I can give up the idea of trading up for better gas mileage.

Ultragauge gives you the same info as the truck computer.

Fuellie takes me about 5 seconds every time I fill up and it's easy to get in the habit of doing it when you fill up. I open app; input mileage, gallons, and price per gallon; hit save. The app does all the rest.

that's all perspective, that's 90% city driving and we live in a small town of about 50k. there is only about 5-7 major cities in the state and we are in 1 of them with about 20 sq miles of city.

so take that with a grain of salt.

    edit :

    11mpg was towing
21mpg was driving highway with ideal conditions with nothing but me and the wife. normally I get about 19mpg in ND since we always have wind on the highway.
