I am having some rubbing at compression during a turn. It’s coming from the rear outside corner of the wheel well. I have an icon stage two lift with 265/70/17 KO2s. Does anyone have pictures of how they trim the wheel wells to eliminate the rubbing.

You shouldn't have any rubbing with that tire size. Did you get your truck aligned after the lift? Sounds like the problem lies in the alignment. Assuming your caster is very close to 0 or perhaps negative.

I did have it aligned at Toyota. I will have to pull the paperwork to see specs.

My truck rubbed with that exact tire size with no lift and alignment was done. Not sure of the specs of the alignment though. It was rubbing on the OEM mud flaps. A week later I lifted the front end so I didn't troubleshoot why it was rubbing but I was shock it did rub because everyone on here says they won't.

Weird I have the same exact tire size on rims that are 0mm off set Idk if that helps. Only rubbing I had was on mud flaps which I have taken off. Running stock OR suspension and height.

    Could possibly be alignment?

    Ditto.
I’m stock height with OP’s same tire size, tire brand, and wheels. No rub. It’s definitely got to be something in the alignment.

I thought you wanted the caster at +3 on a lift....

Correct. Close to 3 degrees positive. I'm thinking the OP's caster is set closer to zero or perhaps negative.

Why not just trim that part of the tire that rubs..?? Get someone to run her in 4x4 and on a jack and take a sharp knife to the tire as it rotates..??!!

    Worked for me..!

Thanks everyone. I had Toyota did the alignment. I did not know about the caster. Will take over tomorrow and have it fixed.

The wheels are XD 300 I believe.

if your caster is good then the only thing that tire size would rub on is the mud flap.. @ one point I had 17x9 -12 offset wheels with same size tire on stock hight and I almost never rubbed in town, off road it would rub slightly on the OE mud flaps.. trim the mud flaps or just remove them should solve your issue.

No mud flaps. I was not confident in the kid working on my alignment. I will try someone else to see if correct. Love the lift and tires, just not the rubbing.

Is there a major difference between 2.4 to 3?

Don't think you'll see much difference between 2.4 and 3 degrees. Seems odd that you're rubbing. Can you post a good pic of the tire size?

What kind of wheels and offset? That might be the issue

They're wide rims (for our trucks) at 9". I have XD129s which are also 9" wide and I had a lot of rubbing before my alignment. After, it only rubs near full lock and at compression (I'm running 285s though).

I have a ton of rubbing in the fender where the mud flap used to be too. Lift, 4" bs wheel and KO2's. I tried getting more caster, but techs say my eccentrics are maxed out. I have dirt king UCA's. which ones are you running?
