Think I'm going to trade in my 2017 Forester on a 2015 Tacoma

Anything I need to look out for?

Depending on price (I'd like to limit the hit I take on the Subaru) I'm hoping to find a V6 with manual.

Also want to grab, obviously, the most bulletproof platform and hope to at least get some type of warranty.

I was initially looking at 2017's but researching more, I think the 2nd Gen might be a better bet.

    Thanks!

You should keep the Sub and offroad it like these... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zKWoOVy6rs
They hold their value pretty well so depending on what you are up for spending a new one might be a better route if you can swing it....

'21 Nothing so far, I just bought the friggin thing!! '09 Silver SR5 Prerunner DCSB (sold) Dick Cepek rims, 33” Cooper AT 3’s, 24 in light bar, custom-made hitch step, sport headlights (on SR5 taco), Gator tonneau cover (looking for Best Top soft camper shell), real tree seat covers, weather tech floor liners, 6’ bed mat cut to 5’ (because the 6’ ones were the only ones available, alpine touch screen head unit, alpine 1100w amp powering 2 10” subs, upgraded door speakers (forgotten the brand), Magnaflow exhaust
If you get on no matter the year get the towing pacage, since it comes with upgraded cooler like trans. Other than the rear leafs on the older second gens and the fram rust problems they are very bulet prof stock (both are recalled), and just get 4wd I thought that since I do mostly city and hwy driving I didn’t need 4wd but I have found that it could have saved my ass in many different situations like pulling someone who is stuck out of a dich or just if you live in a snowy climate. Also if you take vacays to the snow 4wd is a must

I traded my Legacy in for my truck, and there are times that I miss it. Not sure where you're located, but if you have to deal with snow, the put some snow tires on the Forester and you will be unstoppable. Not to mention, gas mileage will be a big difference.

Aim for a 2013 to 2015 Tacoma if you can. You'll avoid much of the earlier concerns.
