I use a tekonsha p 3 and have had excellent results. Plug and play with their harness

I did some research when I was shopping for my Tacoma but I couldn’t find much feedback on the unit you listed. In the end I upgraded my P2 to a P3 because of the ESP cubby mount for the P3.

I know this doesn’t help much but based on what I know of the unit I would run it and see how it fares. Tekonsha is considered one of the best if not THE BEST. I really don’t see them putting out a bad product. If you read the website the design of this unit was for rental companies. Not sure if that means it is as good or if it is inferior to their other offerings. But one advantage is you can move the trailer from one tow vehicle to another without any wiring or previous controller install.

Thanks. I was more concerned about wireless part of it. Let say you lost wireless connection with your trailer brakes while going downhill or something. I thought that maybe someone had some experience with this unit

I have one and use it all of the time with my camper. I bought it about 2 years ago. It has never let me down. I read reviews that said pairing for the first time can be difficult, but mine synced right up. Once they are synced, they never have to do it again. Mine has never lost the connection. I bought it because we tow our camper with my Tacoma and my wife’s 200 series.

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to find any reviews or feedback on this unit when I researched it last year. If it is rental fleet designed unit the chances of finding much feedback is going to be slim. That’s was what held me back from considering this unit. I didn’t want to be a guinea pig and do the research for everyone else. I too was worried about losing a signal.

And now we have our answer. Just noticed an actual owner posted as I write this. Finally a real review!!
