Long story short, traded in my 16 OR for a 17 Sport...25 Miles on the odometer and the engine light comes on for low oil. Checked the dipstick and seemed almost dry. I have since added 1.5 quarts of oil... light is still coming on.

Any suggestions? Bringing it back to the dealer tomorrow but has anyone else had this problem??

    Thanks

the trucks take 6+ quarts to full. I havent heard of anyone getting one without oil. It sadly doesnt surprise me. When you take it in I would ask for a physical Trans fluid check, it might be low too.

Shit yes! Have ‘em get you a new truck and show you the oil levels BEFORE you leave the lot

honestly though the damage that could have been caused from running low on oil won't reveal itself until later on. with as low mileage as it has i would demand they change out for something new and have them do a physical check of trans.

    Update:

Toyota service stated there was a loose connection on the engine oil sensor. Still doesn't explain the low oil when I checked the dipstick.
