fuel gauge stuck on full mark

    I filled my gas tank, seems like the gauge is stuck on the F mark as I been driving around for 2 days.I never had this happen before, so I wonder if I should disconnect battery,then hook back up?,hit the bottom of the gas tank to jar the float?I guess I am looking for an easy fix.

    You must he getting fantastic gas mileage. Need more info on your truck to figure it out though. Year, engine stuff like that.

    It's a 1993 pick up,4 cylinder,22re engine,5 speed manual, no a/c,no power steering, 2w drive .It has 148000 miles on it.

    The gauge must been stuck for a while, as it did move down while driving 100 miles, 18mpg
