So I got my right cv axle changed out to non oem, against my better judgement. Mechanic reassured me he'd done lots, lifetime warranty.
But now when reversing in 4wd and turning, I find the truck is stiff, and won't coast with the clutch pushed in, as opposed to doing so in 2wd.
Could this be the new cv axle? Anyone familiar with what I'm experiencing?

That’s just the 4wd system binding up from turning on pavement. It happens to all 4wd’s and is not a result of the new axle shaft. You should try not to engage 4wd on pavement while making sharp turns.

Yeah my Dad was having the problem with our CJ7 and we found that it was just becasue of using 4wd on paved roads, the fix was syimlpe just not using 4w on dry paved roads.

Ya, my bad. Does same in forward, just haven't used the truck in over 2 1/2 months, so wasn't familiar with it.
Mechanic just checked it, told me it's normal.
