Can someone help me out and tell me what this two things coming out of the top of the engine is and what they do?

Not trying to be juvenile, just trying to get a better understanding of what I’m looking at when I look under the hood.

    Thanx...

Usually those would go to the EGR system or the EVAP system, but if they are all capped off on these engines then it's normal. There should be a vacuum hose diagram sticker on the bottom of the hood showing all the vacuum lines. If it shows no vacuum lines coming from there then you are good.

that throttle body is used on many different applications and those different applications require vacuum. Would you make a different throttle body for each different vehicle or make one that can be used in various autos, thats all that is going on.

Now that you've heard some interesting "stork" fantasies about what they're for, let's just say they're keeping the engine bay PG-13. ;)

Thanks everyone for your info and insight. I’m not very smart with mechanical stuff, just trying to educate myself.
