Okay guys I'm back at it again.

My mechanic today told me that I need lower ball joints and a right tie rod end for my 2001 Tacoma 4 x 4 TRD.

So I'm wondering is there anything better than stock ball joints or tie rods out there?

Remember I just put an ARB winch and a Warn M8000 on the front of that thing and going to be getting some Bilstein 5100 shocks and a Toytec coilover springs for that front end. Will be doing some serious 4 wheeling on the Arizona Strip very soon!

I just need to know about those ball joints and tie rod ends!

Thanks for all your help guys the Taco is slowly coming together!

At the risk of turning this into another lower ball joint debate thread, stick with OEM. Best you can buy, unless you 'upgrade' to a long travel setup with custom lower control arms and ball joints...but that's a whole nother ballgame.

    Stick with OEM.

OEM Toyota lower ball joints are the best. Aftermarket stuff doesn't even come close.

+1 on the OEM. I am in the process of replacing all the wear items on a 175K front end - outer tie-rods, lower ball joints, sway bar bushings/links, etc. All OEM replacements. Next will be the timing belt/water pump/etc.
