I don't think so. The reviews say it's not as intuitive as the regular scan gauge.

I posted something back in this thread or you can go to their website. Either way, you can monitor the oil. I believe it follows the water temp very closely, so I stopped monitoring it.

Trans temp 1 and 2 are good to know. It is getting cold here and I like to take it slowly until the tranny warms up.

For that alone it's worth it to me.

Used it a few times on the old Subaru to check fault codes, that is also ok.

Not sure about anywhere else, but the Scangauge II hasn't really budged price wise on Amazon since July.

I ran a block heater and tranny heater (manual) on mine. I plugged it in on a timer only when temps were below 20 overnight. It helped the clutch not feel like jello in the morning. I only used it a couple times before i sold the truck.

Woah woah woah. They make a tranny heater for us? That'd be amazing because my tranny drives a little rough the first 5 minutes or so.

No it wasnt a tranny heater, exactly. It was one of those stick on heating pads. I used the 150watt one and sealed around it real good with some high temp rtv sealer so water couldnt get up in there and mess with the sticky stuff. The block heater was only like 450 watt so i tied them in together and ran it through one plug that i mounted in the bed with a marine grade plug. Looked pretty good. And helped a lot on those few real cold days in january

Thanks man, I'll keep that in mind. And I'm the same way with Amazon! You can get a spending report in excel format, and I think I've spent almost $20k there since I signed up
