    Hey Guys, In Columbus for a Tree Care Conference and got a pretty good sized screw in drivers side front tire. Not losing air much but don't want to drive back to Little Rock with it still in there. Any recs for a good tire shop in the W. Columbus / Hilliard area?

    If it were me, I'd find an auto parts store and buy a tire plug kit. Fix the tire yourself and have extras for the NEXT screwin'

    I live in Hilliard and have heard good reviews about:
    Discount Tire
    Hilliard Tire and Auto
    Boyd's Tire and service

    Cemetery / Fishinger is the same road. There are almost a dozen different tire shops
    I had the same issue happen for a trailer tire.
    I did NOT have good experience at Tire Discounters.
    I asked for a patch. after 1.5hrs they said I needed a new tire.
    Paid for tire , installation.
    Got home, price checked tire, paid $40 than I should have.
    Was not happy about the time it took and the price.

    At least you got screwed by a high price piece of hardware. Looks to be a "Tap-Con" screw....The type made to screw directly into concrete. I'm assuming that to be of very little consolation....

    At Hilliard Tire getting a patch on now. I've got plugs.....,,at home :rolleyes: but those are reserved for temp trail repairs. I've always trusted patches more for long term repairs, especially with an 11hour trip home.

    Best place is discount tire on sawmill road right by home depot.. the one in hilliard sucks, they are super expensive compared to the one on sawmill.. Got my Cooper discoveries at the one on sawmill for 40.00 a corner cheaper than discount tire on cemetery road.

    If you couldn't get them fixed, and don't want to blow money on a new tire right now, i have a set of the OEM tires for 245/75/16 in my garage you can just have to tide you over..

    Thanks man, but that was like 2 months ago :rofl:Got it done at a small place called Hilliard Tire by the tracks. in and out in 40 minutes for $35. Made it back to Lil Rock, no problems.
