I tried that and it stood out badly when looking at the grill

That's too bad. Any way to mount it under the truck to the frame rails?

I was a grade schooler when the CB craze hit in the 70's. It was basically the shit-talking social media of the day, for the majority of users.

It was super when you needed to monitor traffic on trips, talk to other vehicles in your road trip convoy or ship to ship ship to shore... I can see why they would still be super-useful in many off-grid situations, talking to spotters, etc. I really didn't think there was much of a market for CB until I started looking into off-road forums.

I'm running the fire ring, no issues, great swr! I love it!!
I did run a 12g wire for additional grounding. Seems to have helped. I have a steel bar bracket I made and plast-dipped, it does get a little rust on the exposed area where the fire ring sits, that's why I ran the ground wire.

This is time sensitive, someone please respond quickly. I have a power wire that is diagramed to have power run to the radio cassette as well as one just to the battery... could that be run to the battery with a 12v in-line fuse?

Wtf, radio cassette? My guess is that wire is asking for a switched 12v, meaning a wire that only gets power when the truck is on. An add a circuit into the ACC fuse will accomplish that.

    Red wire to the battery?
If so, YES by all means. You should install an in line fuse close to the battery connection!

    Sorry!
Whatever @EatSleepTacos said! Switched power. Do not connect it to the battery

Ive got the exact same amp setup ready to install with my PA Speaker. I got a little different loud speaker though. I got this one https://www.amazon.com/SPECO-10-Wat...=UTF8&qid=1509846193&sr=8-2&keywords=speco+6"

We have them on our work trucks and they are very loud. I thought about adding a bracket to my bed cage where I can take it on or off when I do or dont need it. I'm going to just add a simple switch to turn on the amp and PA speaker.

No, but in my experience most, it not all amps are the same. They have a power line straight to the battery, a ground, and a "remote" which is a switched 12v that tells the amp when to turn on (I.e. when the car turns on).

OH. It only needs a minuscule amount of power, similar to triggering a relay. A 1A fuse should be sufficient.

Just wire it through a switch and put the orange and red together. Fuse the red on the battery side of the switch and your fine.

I picked up an add a circuit, I’m just trying to fuse the label box for the fuses so I can figure out where to add this damn circuit to
