I did a fair amount searching, and I found bits and pieces...but not a concrete answer.

My old vehicle had the Sirius Sat radio and I am missing it a lot! I am going to get a receiver in to hook up to the factory antenna and HU. My question is this: If I buy the kit to hook up the Sat Rec to my factory HU and antenna, will the same Receiver hook into an aftermarket HU? Will I have to buy a new kit when I get an aftermarket HU?

    Thanks for your help,
    JER

From what I researched you'll need the tuner, an interface, and an adapter cable for the antenna. The dealer sells it and so does the aftermarket. I think the dealer charges $400 or something like that.

I just got my Taco and am already switching out the radio. It's cheaper and I'm sure better than the OEM. I already have the JVC satellite tuner so I'm just buying a new head unit and sharkfin adapter for the OEM antenna.

Well, I have emailed tss-radio.com a couple of times with no response. I have seen people on the forums talk about this place a lot so I am sure they are good people, but I'm not satisfied with the lack of response. Anybody else have experience with add on satellite receivers? Compatable across multiple aftermarket h/u's?

    Thanks in advance,
    JER
