Hello Fellow Tacoma Junkies and Addicts,

I am currently in the process of restoring my family's old Boston Whaler Classic Sport 15. At this point in time, I am redesigning the starboard side steering console. Where do all of you prefer to look at the Tachometer? Do you prefer to look at it on the left side or the right side? Please keep in mind the steering wheel is a spoked steering wheel, and the Tachometer is definitely going to be mounted outside of the steering wheel's radius. Personally, I am partial to looking at the Tachometer on the left side since my old Tacoma has its Tachometer on the left side.

If anybody on this Tacoma World website is an expert at Boston Whalers, please contact me.

    Take it easy,
    Paul

Why not just get a cluster with a tach?

If a tacoma wasn't equipped with a tach on the cluster and I happen to come to find a tacoma cluster with a tach, is there anything else that needs to be done so the tach works?

You know he's talking about a boat right?

@TacomaJunkie8691 I'd say just go with whatever feels natural for you - how often do you check the tach in a boat - I was under the impression engine speed stays pretty constant once you hit your cruising speed. Then again the only boat I drive is my parents' lake boat once a year on vacation lol. Did you end up installing it already?

    Dear Anthony,

Thanks for clearing that up. Yes, the subject I am talking about is a 15 foot Whaler. I am in the process of redesigning the starboard side steering console.

    Take it easy,
    Paul
