yeah actually I just took my truck in there for service and may not be going back - didn't have a great experience. I think my second experience there negates the first...

Steer Clear of Livermore/Dublin Toyota. I won't bitch about the alignment since they only know how to do in-spec alignments and can't comprehend anything else. But when trying to align my truck, they managed to bend the tab on one of my LCA's and then failed to rotate my tires like I asked. Spent 3 days going back and forth to their dealership.

Hey All, I’ve got a terrible rattle in my driver door. Also one on my passenger side. Wanted to take the car in to see if they could pop off the panel and fix whatever is shaking. I’m in the east bay (Danville), anyone know if Dublin Toyota service is pretty good? Don’t want to take it in then have them tell me it’s “normal”.

I go to Piercey for service and they all seem like super chill guys. Very well organized if you make an appointment.

In general, avoid the rich areas populated by transplants and internationals. I say that as a Chinese American. I have a theory/suspicion that in these areas people don't normally haggle, they just buy at MSRP so dealers are especially stingy and rude. Avoid Sunnyvale Toyota like the goddamn plague. The manager there was very rude. Also they quoted $500 dollars just to check the transmission fluid. What the fuck. I guess rich techies don't know shit about cars.

I hear ya buddy... took mine in for a simple oil change and they left the drain plug gasket off and it did the drip thing all over my garage. Total rookie mistake.

I agree. I was looking at a 2018 4Runner there and they tried to tack on a $5k market adjustment to the price. I ended up buying from Walnut Creek Toyota. No haggling there. As far as truck knowledge, I tend to not rely on sales people for that. I do my own research, pick the rig that I want, canvas the local dealers for the best price and make a choice.

Also to note, I went back 4 days in a row. When they finally did rotate my tires, the douchebags torqued my lugs to like 120. Couldn’t get them off by hand so I brought it back and chewed their ass out over it.
I asked the manager to break one of the lugs free and he brought out a breaker bar from the shop. Asked him if he keeps one of those in his car for flat tires and he said no. So I gave him the L wrench I keep in the truck for flats.
While I waited for that, a Prius in their shop experienced flames coming from the engine bay coming up and over the hood. Never again am I going back.

For anyone else in the market I cannot recommend Freeman Toyota enough.

Internet price, one email and done. They moved some orders around and let me order my specs and color.

    (Purchased in 2017) 2017 4x4 TRD Off Road (No P/T) for 33k, - 36 OTD.

I went through Costco and got a good price in San Jose but was talking trade in and didn't hear back.I used that price and Piercy finally agreed after three days but salesman went Mia.Tried Victory and wouldn't touch the price and they called back but couldn't match the price.Talked too Julie at Toyota of Santa Cruz and she matched it and traded in what I wanted. So far it has been a pleasurable experience but did have common friends so that may have helped.
I think Costco sells about 550k plus cars a year and they make their money charging the dealerships $3k a month for the referrals.

Freeman is legit. 5 years ago I was shopping around for a 13 Access Cab 4X4 V6. They had one on the lot, manual 6 spd, vinyl floors (drooooool). I played it cool and tried to negotiate with them a little. The guy I worked with there wrote down their number on a piece of paper for me and told me to go shop around. I visited 4 other dealerships around the north bay and no one even came close to their number and overall professionalism. I returned about a week later and drove off with the truck that night. Great sales crew over there. They have nothing to prove, they've been a dealer since '63!

Just bought a 2019 DCLB TRD OR from Folsom Lake Toyota and I could not recommend them more or be happier with my new Taco. Steve Dowd and Ben Stahlecker were my salesmen, I say salesman because when I bought my first truck two weeks ago from Steve, when I went to drive it off the lot heading home I noticed my hood fluttering at highway speeds (don't ask how I didn't notice this when I was test driving it...to excited playing with all the bells and whistles I guess). So on Steve's recommendation I brought it back in to be looked at. Their service and body department looked into it and found the hood support struts didn't fuse properly to the underside of the hood while being assembled so the center of the hood had no support.

Long story short.....Folsom Lake Toyota stood behind their product and my customer satisfaction. They offered to get me another brand new like equipped vehicle to replace the one I had just bought. I was amazed that they offered this...and after a few days of tracking down the exact color and options truck I wanted they had it delivered in and we did the exchange in quick order. Incredible service and they made sure I got the perfect new vehicle one expects when you buy new and drive it off the lot. And for my trouble, they didn't even charge me for the new replacement vehicles added dealer accessories (that the bay area dealer had installed on it) so I got black out emblems overlays/tailgate inserts and the TRD Performance exhaust free of charge.

Can't recommend Folsom Lake Toyota enough. If you go ask for Steve Dowd or Ben Stahlecker. Steve owns a 2017 Tacoma I believe so he knows the trucks well. Good luck with your purchase!!

know what your going in to buy and dont let the dealer sell you on a truck...1st mistake....i always go shopping knowing what exact truck i want, then work the details...f-the add on's, like paint protection, sealant etc...just my .02

have fun and make it fun for yourself, its your $$. don't be afraid to walk out or think it over if it doesnt feel like a good atmosphere with the sales people. they are there to take your paycheck and make it theirs in a way if you know what i mean, but that is the business of buying/selling cars/trucks...I've been in it for over a decade plus
