That and to separate the 1/2 ton 3/4 and 1 ton sales as separate. The F-150, F-250 and F-350 are separate Trucks but count as F series sales.

Is the Mazda 3 a more fun car to drive? Probably, Will the Mazda3 still be running in 20 years? probably not.

besides there are probably 5.5 times as many Toyota dealers than Mazda and 5.5 times as many rental Corolla cars than Mz3.

As far as Tacoma sales, as soon as T can bring more capacity online, the numbers will increase significantly. It's been reported in WSJ thst's Toyota's main issue. Capacity.

 

We ran into this a lot when the sig other was buying a crossover. All of the reviews were pretty much based on what is the most cutting edge and was the most fun to drive. We were looking for the one that would be the most trouble free and last the longest. I feel like a lot of reviewers miss the mark on that.

 

Mazda is just a smaller scale manufacturer, their cars are very well made.

On a related note, Toyota and Mazda are building a new plant in the US where Corollas and Mazda crossovers will be built, it's expected to be complete in 2021.

Toyota also took a 5% ownership in Mazda as part of this deal, not as much as their stake in Sabaru, but give it time.

 

As someone that holds onto their cars for a while, reliability in top of the list, as is low maintenance cost, and resale.
