Missing rear trim?

    Somewhere in the Mojave Desert...
    Vehicle:
    2017 Tacoma OR 4x4 (formerly a 1998 SR5 PU, 2002 OR 4x4, 1995 4x4 4Runner, 1985 4x4 Toy PU) ... and RIP’s (rust in pieces) to a Bronco II 4x4 & S10 Blazer 4x4
    theres a rectangular hole in my OR TRD right between the top of the rear license plate and below the bottom edge of the tailgate, am I missing a trim piece? I have not noticed it before...

    Edit: ok, see how good BFG KO,s are?? Never in 275k miles, have I had to use the jack (it also helped having the spare mounted so I could easily check the pressure).

    I believe that's the hole you use to lower your spare down if I'm thinking of what you're describing right.

    Oh gosh... I’m having a hard time adjusting to this truck! And reading the manual!!! And getting used to Monday morning without coffee because we forgot to reset the dang timer an hour back for daylight savings ending on the coffee maker!!!:)
