Brought my truck in for the 12 mos service which includes tire rotation. I forgot I hid the wheel lock key until I went to pick the truck up. The dealership said they had a key and were able to rotate the tires. Does this sound right?

Yes, and you still need to find your key or your screwed if you get a flat.

Best way to check a tire rotation is to mark your tires in a discreet way before you go in.

And everyone except kids who are stupid or just opportunity thieves has a 'lock key'. Just drive a smidge smaller socket right over the lug and take it off. Ruins the lug, but the thief doesn't care.

Only mention that so you don't get too enamored with locking lugs, which almost always cause more problems than what they solve.

My maternal grandfather, a very wise Scotsman, told us "All locks do is keep honest people out, and make it inconvenient for you."

Thanks for all the responses. Next tire rotation I'll mark a tire to check their honesty.
