With combination of a semi loose vacuum hose as well, yes?

Checked mine now.. hose is tight on both ends.. takes a good amount of force to pull them off. may clamp them regardless tho.

Gonna pull the jet out now.

    IMG_20171106_100607.jpg

Also noticed a bit of oil accumulating around the main seal. Might have another vacuum leak there. Fixed it a while ago.. but it's seen better days.

Has anyone else had any problems with the water pump for the super charger? I remember people were having issues with it crapping out...

@Torspd @12TRDTacoma Welp.. it did seem to help some. Boost IS more consistent and comes on earlier now (awesome). BUT.. wondering how much of that is weather.. Weather was clear and 72. Was reading a constant 6 and flashing and partially staying at 7 sometimes. Best it's been in a while.

Wondering if I should test the bypass valve itself now. Disconnect it from the blower side right? Wasn't there something else.

Also going to pull the snorkel and test with mote airflow.

Just disconnect and cap off the port.

Zip tie the hose ends when back together. Just for extra security.

You'll likely be at 8 without the snorkel.

If you are noticing a change, it worked.

I might as well get a snorkle if you are hitting 6-7 psi because thats what I am at with similar mods.

Awww man. We gotta get together then!

And I just reached backed there with some needle nose pliers and yanked it off.

    Port on the blower, correct?

I'll test that first.. on its own.. then snorkel.

I used to hit 7 and 8 back in the day. Snorkel and age killed a lot. Age includes wear and tear and leaks.

It Is not weather related at all. I've hit 11 psi boost on an 86 degree day. Unless It was 100 or so degrees out, the results you are seeing are directly because of the mod performed, not because of the weather.

What thing? The hose? Or the valve itself?

The snorkel kills some boost because of all the hard twists and bends it has.

This mod simply restores proper functionality the blower should have had in the first place. The jet is simply put in place to give the car better driving manners, if you own a blower and you like to mod, even a little, you don't need a nanny.

Do not yank it, twist and turn it to loosen whatever slight bond it may have to the port and it will free itself. Mine was not easy to remove either, twisting avoids breaking the port itself, as it is made of plastic.

    Let me be more clear,

I did twist and turn it (hose), it would not even budge, then twisting and pulling harder

I couldnt get the damn hose off no matter how hard I tried

Then went as hard as possible and the hose came off with the jet stuck inside it.

Just test drove and it feels better, not faster but better.

@12TRDTacoma I realize now I should say my normal boost is a tiny tiny bit over 5psi with max boost just at 6

I dont know why my boost is so low

Should I cap the line to the brake booster?

With the 2.85 pulley and full free flowing exhaust I hit 8.5lb one single time and never have gotten close to that since or before

    It was -40 out

Just here to help my good man. :) enjoy your new vroom vroom.

I hope you replaced your hose, otherwise you will have the same results unless you can pull that stupid jet out of there.

What size pulley you got? Also, the brake booster has nothing to do with this. Leave it be.
