I currently have a 06DCSB OR with 200,000+miles. Been stock for all it's life except for some AT tires. But has been through fishing/hunting/dirt road trips all it's life. Since I've now got a good paying job I can afford to upgrade my truck. My question is, if I lift my truck 2-3" will I be shortening it's lifespan? Meaning will I cause more premature stress for the parts in this truck? Ultimately leading to a failure or more maintenance? The truck is well maintained and has been flawless, just wanted inputs on what you guys think. It's my daily driver and weekend/ everything truck. I already have a lift in mind, but wanted y'all's expert opinion on lifts vs stock and longevity.

I have a 3 inch toytec lift and 33 inch off-road tires on mine and the only problem that I have right now is fender rubbing and a big drop in gas mileage.

A big problem that you could see if you go with a big lift and big off-road tires is brake issues. My dad drives a BIG lifted Ford on 35s and he recently had to have his whole braking system replaced due to the brakes and pump having to stop the heavier than stock load. He had a bigger chance of this happening since he drives a bigger truck, but I imagine that it could happen on most lifted vehicles.

How do you like the toytech 2" AAL? Is your truck sitting leveled or does it have a little rake? I'm stuck on what to get for the rear. I've already had the tsb leaf pack in placed. Do I need a lift for the back now? I'll probably be going for some 5100s with 885x, not sure what to do with the rear.

What do you have in the rear of your truck? Do you like it? How's the stance?

The stance is nice, my fuel wheels are a deeper dish so it does make it come out a lot more. The lift is a cool spacer lift so the inserts prop up the coils and the rear is an Add A Leaf. Keeps it stable for off-roading verses having a block.

I've had it for about 4 months and I still love it!
