OEM Tow Hitch ( Yes or No ? )

    You dont technically need the brackets since you have a 4 cyl but the hitch would pretty much have the same rating as the standard bumper style hitch since it only connects onto the sides of the frame instead of the bottom as well

    In other words if you have a v6 and want the full 6500lbs capacity youd need these to have a class IV hitch rating

    Ok makes sense. I am only pulling a light trailor with a couple canoes and a couple kyaks. I do have a full size camper trailor but I have no intention of pulling 3 ton airstream with this truck. Just out of curiostity.. What is the purpose of the bolts through the bumper and should a spacer go between the hitch and the bumper? It will mess up the bumper and body lines if not. Not to mention the bumper and hitch holes don't line up great.

    Im not sure what the purpose of the bolts that go through the bumper are but i dont think theres a need for any sort of spacer or at least i dont have one on mine. I noticed my hitch and the lines on my bumper didnt line up too well and i had to loosen up the bolts holding the bumper to the hitch, and the hitch to the frame to readjust everything

    OK. I give up... trying to pull out Map light bulb and it will no work..the reflector is in the way of a good grip.... If I pull the reflector, I fear if will not go back...( slide in on pins ) ...... Any suggestions ?
