DIY Bolt-On Frame Plates for Sliders

Ahh! I misunderstood... I thought you had built the whole assembly in 3D, tubing bends and all.

 

I did but that part isn't available. Got to design your own!

 

finally getting back around to these after being on the back burner too long but I had a boat I wanted to get in the water this summer.

During fit up this weekend I did find my spacer plates needed about 1/4" larger gap between them to allow for the x plate on the frame. I have removed the templates from my previous post and will update when I get the chance to modify the solidworks file and the dwg template.

I’ve not seen anything like that. I’ll see what I can do for you on that. It may take a day or three though.

 

No rush, I appreciate it. Also if it makes any difference I drive a 2017 DCSB.

 

From what I understand that may make a difference. A 3rd Gen guy should chime in. There are some differences on the frame rails that may impact where you can put a leg for you sliders.

 

the templates will not work on a 3rd gen without modification but i can imagine tube dimensions wont be much different if at all. im working on updating the plates myself when i get some free time. I made a template for a 3rd gen dcsb which needs to be modified since I found an error in it last weekend.

also ill be happy to give you the dims this weekend when I get everything tacked up.

78 inches is a good length for the main runner then base everything off that

No progress yet on my own personal set. drew the short straw and got stuck with a 7 day work week

Once the weld table at work is freed up I should have them done. When that happens is anyone's guess right now. We keep getting end of year rush jobs.

 

Huge thanks for sharing these files! I'm using some knock off CAD software, so maybe it's just me, but the cut template is coming out like some of the parts of overlapped over each other or something?

 

It’s likely the way your CAD software is interpreting the file.

 

Probably. I'll try opening it up in autocad at work when I get a chance, I need to bring it in there to print it on the plotter anyways.
