Dealers have had customer trucks sitting on their lots for months waiting for new gaskets.... Not just a re-torque of the bolts.

Your article from trucks.com was dated June 2nd. It's now November 7th. Show me an article that says Tacomas are still held up on the lots. They're not.

Also show me an article that tells me how many of the 228,000 vehicles actually received new gaskets or new differentials. 99% of them just got bolts re-torqued and had no issues

Article dated June with 2 months of wait time for parts. That is August before the parts arrive to fix the current trucks, when do new vehicles normally come out? August... This is just my opinion and like assholes everyone has one.

Not the fix it was referring to, solving the Howling Rear Diff is what l meant as is what I think the other guy I quoted was too.

If your talking about the part of the article where a plumber named Dorsey Clark brought his Tacoma in and was told it was going to take two month. The article also said that took place in May, so simple math would put the parts at the dealership in July (Not August.)

Gotcha, Dude posted links referring to the diff leak recall so I though that was what you were referring to.

They did not have the bolts nor the gaskets to cover the current recall, which means no parts to build new trucks with simple math.

Back in June, they probably didn't. But it's not June anymore, the recall is a non issue for the release of the 18s.

Maybe you are correct and I misread his Post as it does say Recall, my bad.

There's one instance of a dude who waited a little under 2 weeks. Hardly what I call a mass supply issue. You also don't know if the dealer is getting genuine OEM parts or 3rd party parts. I worked in a Toyota parts department for 3 years receiving in palettes. Believe it or not a lot of parts come from gray area sources.

But whatever you say princess, You've been on here for a little over 2 months and don't even own a Tacoma so you must know EVERYTHING. :fingerscrossed:
