Good evening another long day. Time to grill a steak. And thinking a drink don't normally do that during the week and seldom on the weekends but could use one after the last 4 or 5 days.

In a building this week that I posted pictures of several months ago. They are remodeling even with all the work going on that we are doing. Noticed today that there are now 3 bathrooms. Men, Women, and All Genders. Then a few minutes later walked by this door

    quiet space.jpg

It is official. The snowflakes have taken over.

More importantly got an email from the breeder of the dog I worked with for 5 months and had to send back to Texas.

    Future Jack maybe.jpg

Phuck. 5 weeks old don't have to make a decision tonight but he could be mine for free she will even fly him to me for free for all the work I did with the other dog. Decisions. Timing is not right but then again never is. Life is a lot more simple right now with only 1 dog let alone house breaking, training, teething, etc. But that face....

Do other states use their message boards? I pass this one everyday and there's usually a public message of some kind.

    Good evening everyone.
Enjoying my week off work. No luck hunting yet. Only thing in bow range has been little ones. I have to go to work tomorrow afternoon. Union is handling out new contract proposal. Company wants to open contract because they can't retain people. Hoping for the best.

We were driving through Chicago a few years ago, the sign said 50min to the Loop. I didn't believe them, I thought "no way only a few miles" I believe it now! And avoid Chicago!

My first real hunting dog in the early 80's was a female, Ryman strain English Setter. What a sweetheart. And the family dog for 17 years was a rescue female mutt. Putting her down was one of the hardest things I have ever done even out of all the other dogs but she was in pain from cancer. But yeah my retrievers are Tollers and the smallest of the retrievers so go with males because they are larger. Still fairly small but muscular and powerful.

Damn you to hell and back act like you know me or something....

Jack. House is already dog proofed and gates all over from the other dog. And have 2 ecollars, 2 GPS collars and 2 crates, name tags etc. Hate to just waste them the more I think about it.

I will drive an hour and a half to go around that chit hole every time I have to go East. Still get bottle necked South of there eventually though. With the new GPS and traffic avoidance a few times have gone through it and I watch the traffic monitor turn from green to yellow then red and hear it say redirecting. Have no idea where I am going when it does. Just know that I have to go 70mph to keep from getting run over in a 40 with 6 or more lanes in each direction. I thought Frisco and Atlanta were bad, Chicago has them beat.

A guy I work with is from Wi. and he is anxiously waiting deer season opener with the family. On the edge of Buffalo County but the genes don't cross over the river to the North so much. Ran into another guy at work that I used to deer hunt with in SE Mn. I asked if he was still hunting Houston County and he said hell no he is too old to drag them out of the river bottoms and bluffs. Which is why I quit deer hunting and I am older than he is. It is that magic area where Mn. Wi. and Iowa come together and more than one huge pig of a deer in there but rough to hunt. So he bought 35 acres of land North of town here and hunted that opening day Saturday. His wife asked him about 3 if he was going to go back out deer hunting and he thought about and said might as well.
