    It looks like a pain in the ass on a 4x4 first mud puddle and there you go busting your ass with a scrub brush.

    Remove them completely from the truck. They just get in the way and ruin your pants. I hate mine.

    Creamy peanut butter can be used to remove wax from black plastic trim. You might give it a try.

    They look nice. I have the OEM set from gen 2 and they have a ABS plastic skin over top of the metal frame.
    Yours look more like a bed liner paint finish

    Just an update to anyone curious. Was not able to get it off with some of the more simple ideas you all gave. Did not want to try anything crazy to risk damaging it so I took it to the dealer and they apologized for delivering the car in that condition and they are going to repaint them for me for free.
