Just got my second stonechip within 3 months of each other. Noticed a bunch of smaller pit marks aswell. Anyone else have problems with their original windshield or am i just having bad luck?

Mines all pitted up, hard to see though in full sun at the right angle sometimes.

I’ve nailed a bunch of rocks here in AZ and only have one minor pit. After hearing a lot of people mentioning issues here, I expected my windshield to be replaced by now. Holding up great though.

Edit: both my third gen glass and father in law’s glass for his 2nd gen have been holding well despite the rock strikes out here.

All windshields are thinner then they used to be due to weight savings. Just the way it is. The more vertical it is, the more it will chip also.

Roads don't seem to be cleaned as often as they once were and when they are, the quality of the job damn well is job #1.

I live in New Mexico - windshields are a wear item around here. I change them more often than brake pads :(

After 88k on my windshield, its pretty fried. Rock chips and divots galore, Ive filled the big chips in the past but mine needs replacement.

I have tons of small pits all over my windshield. Drives me crazy!
U have never noticed any pits in my past vehicles. I did take a good size rock to 1 vehicle. It put a big chip that eventually cracked across the entire windshield.
I am really hoping that my windshield cracks soon so I can get a new one. I have no deductible glass coverage on my insurance.

I’m 2 years into my stock one and I have 8 chips and non have spider cracked. They’ve cut my wipers more often then I care to admit as I change them out far to often. Time for a new one! Just don’t want another stock one
