During the summer when it was 100+ I agreed to go to Philmont for winter camp, after 2 days of Texas winter I'm 2nd guessing that decision.

Lol not yet. Gotta get the engine running clean first. Needs radiator flush, suspension work, blinkers fixed, and battery change before anything too fun.

Refer to above. Then I get to sell it. :p

Want to borrow my US Army extreme cold bag? Like my actual bag, it's old, but is rated down to -40, a temperature where my actual bag has disappeared. It's so warm that the instructions are to sleep nekkid inside it, so as to not sweat. I have done exactly that inside this one, so am assuming you are going to pass on the offer.

    Thanks for shopping...

Thanks for the offer but I have 2 of those myself. I have slept in one of them when it was in the high 20's and was Fu*&% Cold.
There is defiantly a difference between Comfortable and Survival, but then again I'm currently sitting in my 70* office and have an extra heater next to me because there is a slight draft coming from somewhere.

Edit: Never mind, my bags are the intermediate. But they are supposed to be good down to 0*. I call Bull Shit on that rating.

Mine is over 30 years old, so not sure it's the same model. The sleeping bag, I'm talking about. My actual bag is much older than even that.

You probably have one like my old sleeping bag. I'm 45 now but when I was 9 I was given a sleeping bag by a old Army Vet.
When I received the bag it was already starting to dry rot. It's still around somewhere with many, many patches on it, pretty much a cool weather (not cold) bag now because most of the down feathers have fallen out.
