hey guys new taco owner been a forum reader for awhile finally got my 2002 running solid.

Quick rundown; truck was had been sitting for about 3 or 4 years bought from old man original owner but odometer had stopped working at 388xx miles, obvious wear and tear on a vehicle that is 15+years old and been sitting.

Replaced radiator, a/c belt, serpentine belt, spark plugs, coil packs, pcv valve, fuel filter, air filter, still needs a few more things to come just haven't had time but now is running smooth and the odometer is working again and now I'm up to 394xxx miles :)

But a few questions i have are for leveling it out since it is 2wd auto is it better to lower the rear or lift the front? Not looking to spend a lot just a quick easy fix to level it out with basic tools at my home garage?

Also when I was changing the fuel filter which was on ridiculously tight the extension slipped and I broke a sensor up to the right of the fuel filter does anyone know what this sensor is? My friend said he thought it was a oil pressure light sensor but then I have read it might be a knock sensor? I'll try to get a pic posted

And is a auto to manual swap just a waste of time and money? ive read online of people doing it for under 300$ with junkyard and used part finds, would make my yota way more fun to drive.

But thanks for the invite lots of good stuff on this site! Hope to help and learn some until the wheels fall off my taco!

Not crank or crank and no start? Knock sensor shouldn't keep it from not cranking.

It cranks and runs but is it the knock#1 or knock#2 also had some one tell me it's a oil pressure sensor light, my truck doesn't have a oil gauge only light but also I have no leaks

It's a knock sensor, so it 'listens' for detonation and retards timing if it 'hears' knock.

It's just in the block, should be no open paths or liquids behind it.

Driving the truck in normal street conditions (no loads/towing/racing) should be fine short term with the tune up work you've done.
