So, I've been driving my truck a few months now and i've run into some annoyances im trying to solve with the stereo I'm hoping someone can help me solve, or just tell me there's no hope and give up. I've installed Entune app and updated via phone as of a few days ago.

Home screen: No matter what I'm doing, after 30 seconds or so, my truck always goes back to my default home screen in a split setup. If I want to just stay on the radio/media screen, nope, goes back after 30 seconds or so. The most frustrating is the nav...If I'm navigating somewhere, it stands to reason I would want to have my nav screen be full screen, with details on streets and such coming up, but nope....goes back to my split screen after 30 seconds. I've searched through the menus and can't seem to find anything that corresponds to this...anyone have any ideas?

Unused/unwanted apps: Before my update, I would cycle between a few sources using the steering wheel source button: AM, FM, XM, Bluetooth, back to AM. Now, I have those, but then it goes to like 4-5 streaming apps that take a minute to work because i havent set them up because i dont want them... Pandora (I'll keep it, but would rather it wasn't opening the app on my phone whenever i scroll past it), iheartradio (no use), Slacker (no use), and maybe some others, i never scroll through the menus anymore so im not sure. I want to delete those unused apps off my list, as I will never use them, and they just clutter up the source cycling I liked to do. Any way to delete these? I haven't found it...

I think that's about it right now, I've limited my use of things because I don't like the way it works, and now that my wife has a new car that has a way better functionality to it, I'm jealous and want to fix it.

Yes, I did it through the app. I found the home screen return setting buried in a menu somewhere. Deleting the unused functions from the list is unlikely going to happen. Oh well.

If you updated through Toyota entune software from your phone, I believe it doesn't update the radio firmware itself. Only the apps, Bing, iheart radio....etc.

To update the firmware, use the link.
