what he said.....the cheaper units with no baffles do not work as well..every change in direction causes the velocity to slow down which aids in the seperation process......I happen to use Moroso stuff on several builds and like the quality, as compared to less expensive units, but others work as well....

I have 109k miles on my 09, would it still be worth investing in one of these?

I would say that it can't hurt. I didn't install mine until upwards of 80K and haven't had any problems.

Understandable. If you go back to the beginning of the thread there's some good info there. If you get the ADD W1 you'll want to get a small o-ring (Lowes/Depot) for the wee dipstick. Also add some of the stainless steel brillo (Scotch Brite 84) in the baffle can.

I went back and read a writeup on the install and what the purpose is, makes a lot of sense and seems to do its job. from what I could see I deff don't want that going back into my engine, I found one on Amazon tell me what you think.

It definitely works. I usually run about 6000 between oil changes and mine is usually about 1/3 filled with nasty brown crap. I can't remember the reason but I think guys were avoiding the cans with the breathers on them.

hmm I wonder why? seems to me the breather would help, but I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to these things lol

It might have been applicable to the guys with superchargers but I can't be sure. I have the ADD W1 that's listed below in the Amazon ads.

ill probably go with the one I sent, did some googling and said that the breather was a better option to have, because it "will help condense larger oil vapor, oily gasses would be expelled by the breather, and all this would be done with the aid of vacuum pressure from the intake. In theory, the breather catch can would have "cleaned" the air going into the intake so that very little vapor would be there."....makes sense to me haha

Very good. The more I think about it I'm almost positive it applied to the SC guys.

I'm not for sure how it would make a diff, but I'm sure they've done their research lol

I go about 5,000 miles and I empty it twice in between oil changes. I must say its pretty full as well. I cant believe why anyone would want this nasty stuff going back in your intake.

The reason I did mine too was that I kept on having bad oil samples come back from Blaskstone. Like gas in my oil, so I put this on to somewhat stop it from going back in. When I empty it, it smells like it has gas in it.

The one tube comes off the egr valve, drivers side rear of engine, goes into in side of catch can. The out side of catch can tube goes out into where the egr hose was. Get like 41/2 feet of 3/8 rubber hose so you have enough room.
Some guys also put an in line filter on the out port of hose to see if this junk goes back into engine.
