I've been thinking of doing this for a while. I've used my Tacoma for towing and did some mods that made it work better. Take a look and let me know if you have any questions.

Great video, I plan to do a good bit of towing next summer and this video gave me some good ideas on what I need to get before I do start towing.

I wanna know more about the head unit and backup camera setup. Cost, installation time and difficulty, and how it looks at night using stock reverse lights.

I also want to know did you have the factory backup cam that you switched to show on your head unit instead of in the rear view mirror?

I have several videos up on my "Soreneagle" youtube channel including the DVD system and rear lights.

The cost for my DVD setup was about was $400. I bought the tailgate latch on eBay and got a cheap camera on Amazon and made it work. Not too hard to do but takes some time. Night visibility without the lights is not great but ok.

I didn't have any camera at all. I had to add everything.

Are you running P rate tires or LT rated tires for the towing?

I have LT D rated tires. A truck should really have LT tires since it can be used for hauling heavier loads in the bed. An LT tire is going to be a tougher tire in every way. If you want to run a P rated tire, you shouldn't use your Tacoma as a truck.
