    And if you take a quick look over in the Auto trans thread, Mat is doing further development on that tune.. including what I'd consider an"optional" goody - gear lock. To me, this bodes well for our secondary requests such as elimination of rev hang and fixing the damn flaky DFCO!

    1. Eliminate artificial component of rev hang - it's super annoying, especially if you wind this engine up to the 5-6k RPM range;

    2. Do something to make the DFCO less intrusive when towing/off road. Right now, the injectors come back on around 1300 RPM while you're engine braking. Feels like you've just lost brake pressure. I think you suggested lowering the cut in RPM closer to idle, and that sounded good to me!

    3. Castrate the learning process on our M/T trucks too if you can.. tune enhancements do degrade after some mileage (it happened with 1.02b).

    4. If there's a possibility to have a "D" flash where the throttle is linear AND without delay, that would be great. Overly twitchy gas pedal is a curse in 4lo lol



    Guys, chime in! I know some of you wanted the speedo calibration for oversize tires or some shit..

    I wish there was a way to force OTTO "mode" when at part/low load. I could see it being useful in 4lo, and maybe the engine braking would be even better with full 11.8:1 compression.
    With full control of intake VVT advance and injection type (direct, for example), it should be possible.. I just don't know if it would be safe for the engine.

    It is definitely possible, but you will no longer have Atkinson mode.

    Yeah I hear you... Atkinson is great for saving gas so there's that. If only forced OTTO could be linked to something like 4lo selection. I've wondered if our ECU's have the same I/Os as the A/T trucks, and if so, could the ECT input be utilized to access OTTO specific map(s). I realize though, that ECT seems to have a lot more to do with transmission shifting than with the engine itself.

    Of course, us enterprising Taco wizards would have to come up with a wiring mod to utilize said I/P.

    2nd that
    if possible add option to completely kill DFCO.the 2nd gen throttle by wire was annoying to coast 1st gear in heavy traffic.
    this will give closest feel to cabled throttle.

    Rev hang is whatever, if you fixed it that'd be cool but the DFCO is my big concern. Like other folks said, fuel coming back on closer to idle would be great.
