2010 Tea Kettle Noise

    I plan on shoving a 3/4" Dowel through the weatherstripping between the grille and the hood.
    Will this cheap fix work to remove the 'tea kettle' noise on a 2010 Tacoma Double Cab?
    The other posts about it don't seem to be about a 2010, so I apologize in advance if this seems way to obvious.

    6inch lift sitting on bilstein coilovers. Lexus is300 studs in front to keep stock wheels, general grabber red letters, nfab front bumper.
    I actually think there is a tsb for grille noise. Let me try to find it
