I'm sure that was sarcastic and sorry there was nobody to help but for some reason nobody comes in here much. I live 3 hours or so away and only watch because my daughter is at VT just in case there's something going on when I go down there. Glad your ok sorry

From the east currently living out west. Thinking I might potentially move to Roanoke. Just looking to get some thoughts thrown at me about the area. I grew up in the Shenandoah valley and north Carolina and bounced between the two. Never as an adult though so i'm interested to hear more.

Well if you grew up in the valley then you know it’s a beautiful place to be. There’s trails to ride in the George Washington Nat Forrest and your only a few hours from the ocean

I’ve heard of some trails in West Virginia. There was a good one close by called shoe creek but I believe it’s closed. Don’t take my word on that

Ive found the fabled Roanoke thread that I have been searching for for maybe 3 months. Then again I'm not sure if you'd call the occasional peak into the area threads searching. Anyways, was wondering how active people are on this. Trying to get a rough estimate and if there's enough interest would love to build this shit up.

Didn’t realize Roanoke had it’s own thread. Haha. Lived here for most of my life. I’ve had this truck for about 10 years. Y’all may have seen me around.

You’re right. We didn’t. I wish we would have. It’s an older photo. I need to get out and get some updated pictures.

I used to live there, and still have a bunch of family there. My brother said you guys got some snow and then mostly rain on Saturday, so nothing stuck around.

Yea, it started out as snow and quickly turned to sleet/freezing rain. It wasn't as much as fun as the prior event where we had 15" of snow.

Sweet first. Would have loved to have been able to find one but those things are hard to find in decent shape that is.

Yeah man, they are very hard to find. But since I am only 19 I have an excuse to wait out until I found one instead of investing in a newer gen, there just isn't a way I could right now lol. Paid $3,400. 185k miles, 4 cyl 2.7L. 5speed 4wd. It was literally just down the road cause I bought it from my next door neighbor ! (Live on farm so he is the next person next to me technically lol)

Gotcha, yeah the area your from I could easily see down the road being your neighbor lol. My Grandmother used to own a farm in Bedford and then Botetourt and it was the same way there. Do miss those days. Probably the reason why I'm such a introvert. Good idea with the older vehicle. Stay away from those bills plus that's a sweet deal for a vehicle that will last you a while. You may have to replace a few parts but you'll save a ton.
