Hello Everyone. A little background info, the truck is a 2002 tacoma 3.4 155,000 miles, no engine modifications etc. Driving to work the other morning and it stalled about a half mile from my house. It starts and idles rough for a few seconds then stalls everytime. When I had it towed home that day it only threw O2 sensor codes due to an exhaust leak that had developed in front of the 2nd O2 sensor. Tried cleaning the MAF and it did not help. Also bought a new one from autozone and it did not help, but was reading that this "new" autozone one could have easily been bad. When I checked again today it started throwing an MAF code. Another odd thing I found is that if I take out the air filter and have someone block most of the intake with their hands the truck will run perfect and when they take their hands away it stalls out within seconds. Does this symptom point to a bad MAF sensor or maybe a vaccum leak? Bad IAC Valve? Also should I have reset my ecu when I put the new MAF sensor in?
Thanks for the help, I appreciate it.
