I have a 2010 Tacoma with the factory installed JBL/XM stereo. Is there a way to make the text move on the radio while listening to XM?

For instance..let's say I'm listening to "Stairway to Heaven". All that will to display is something shorter than that, like "Stairway to Hea".

I've Had Sirius receivers on other cars that the text scrolled..does it not do this on these stereos? It's not a reception issue; once it receives the first text, it doesn't change until the song does.

I could be wrong but I think I read once that you have to hold down the text button in order to get it to scroll...someone correct me if Im wrong.

I think there is like a 10 character limit or some bullshit. So when you hit text you can scroll from the artist to the song to the station, but each one is limited by the char limit. It annoys the hell out of me.

No text scrolling. My '08 Accord was the same way. Come on manufacturers, get with the times.

Ditto. It's an annoying feature - wish I could see more. And it doesn't work on regular FM either. My 2003 GMC Envoy has the RDS (Radio Data System) that automatically scrolls through the station, artist and song title. It also has Bose radio, which is miles past the JBL system of the Tacoma. I say again, my 2003 GMC Envoy! For as much money as Tacoma's command, and from a Japanese company, you'd think they'd have a much better sound system (say from perhaps Sony, another Japanese company!).
