Hey guys so I know Tooter has been offline for quite a bit and subsequently stopped making his signature manifold spacers. Well I found a company that would make them for us! Problem is, they need 15-20 people to show interest. This manifold spacer will give the exact same to even more gains compared to Tooter's and be a lot cheaper. Obviously it won't look as "cool" but it will serve the same purpose. List your name below or PM me and I'll make a list on the first post.

Here's the company's main website: XTP

Check 'em out and decide for yourself.

Note: There are no pics because the spacer hasn't been made as previously stated. Also, any questions posted that can either be answered by the website or by the OP will be treated with sarcasm :D.

He hasn't made any yet otherwise I wouldn't have posted this. Listed on his website is the spacer for the 4.0 L second gen Tacoma. The price is $265 for the 4.0L spacer so I can't see why the price for the 2.7 L would be more. Click the link I posted and go through the website yourself. Do you want me to put your name down? I'm only going to list those who are sincerely interested.

Same material as the 4.0 L listed on the website and if we can get 15-20 people interested then I can get more information. Thickness? It'll be thicccccc.

You can put me down as a weak maybe. I'd like to see a how it mounts up and that it's not rigged up. 265 isn't too bad if its a complete kit,but if I have to spend that much and still figure out how to make everything work I wouldn't do it.

@jowybyo You were interested in Tooter's manifold spacer, right?

    I'd possibly be interested.

It's a spacer.... It gets sandwiched between the head and intake manifold. Unless they do something retarded, it will be held on using the same bolts that attach the manifold to the head (longer than stock of course for the added thickness)

Yea, I think I'm going to make my own. I have an idea to keep the cost down. If there was more demand, this would have been done already.

If its really thin like 1/2 inch I wouldn't bother. If it's closer to 2 inches I'd like it but would the intake tube going to the throttle body still bolt up?

It might help if it was advertised more. I believe Tooter sold out of all the ones he made.

I believe Tooter's was 1" (maybe 2"). If the intake tract doesn't have enough stretch, a short section of tube and/or a silicone coupler or two would remedy the issue.

What material will this spacer be made out of? Is there a picture of a prototype to look at?

    And yeah, how thick??

Yeah, I believe it lowered the peak torque by a few hundred rpm and worked really well when paired with a lce header

I think he already had the header at that point. I remember he commented once that the header really lowered the peak torque and helped with driveability and the spacer made it just a little better and really complemented it. In that Dyno the peak torque is at 2800 stock is 3800

Will lower the peak torque and give better driveability, you sacrifice a little top end. But how often do you have the truck at the rev limiter
