What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Something my uncle did that made a lot of sense. You know those bug screens grandmas put on the front end? My uncle took some screen and screened inside the hood over the radiator. That way the bugs don't get on the radiator and you don't have to mess with the look of the car.

Of course you'll have to wash the bugs off the outside but still it was a good idea.

 

Wheels, tires and lift.

 

For our almost 1 year anniversary I bought him some new shoes + Fab Fours Vengeance Bumper... Will post better pics when I get my Katzkin leather in a couple weeks. Also waiting on the mesh inserts that go in the bumper (not ready for the lights) and the license plate mount (really need that).

Maybe early next year for the matching back bumper.

Added a bed rail along the cab and cut insulation for the topper windows. Lets pray for snow so I get to do some winter camping!

 

Is this 2" lumber coated with something? Doesn't exactly look like paint. (The texture makes me think truck bed liner or something similar.)

 

Used taco power to pull out a family member. He was running bait out to a stand in his (2wd) truck and fell in a bit of a sink hole.

 

His antenna will go on the roof. One of our ham club member's does all the installs for the local sheriff's department so there's no need to worry about leaks. For my truck, I have height issues so mine will go behind the cab attached to the bed. 'Something like this:

Installed the Door Sill Protectors and the matching Vinyl. These went on pretty easy.

 

Yes it's coated in Herculiner. Had some left over from the sliders.

 

Just ordered a $140 Chinese Pro grille. They just look too good to pass up. I still like my Sport chrome grille but figured I will put on the Pro for a week and see if I like it. If not it will be on CL for $125 a week later. Damn Tacoma World.

 

Looks Great. Tires are perfect with the lift. 265/75s? Hoping mine looks as right as yours after my lift.

Yep! I’m glad I went wit that size. My truck still has some take off ability. lol

 

What are some low cost UCA's I could consider for buying ? In my opinion anything is better than the stock UCA?

Although on Saturday I finally wired some bed lights from mattgecko. 2 rows of LEDs for each rail. Bright as all get out back there now.
