So I did the Tundra brake upgrade on my 2004 Taco.... turns out I bought the S13WE calipers and am having a hard time finding brake pads. I guess they discontinued that caliper and replaced it with the 13WL caliper.

I've read the rotors are the same but have not confirmed. Does anyone know if they are?

Second.... if they are the same rotors, could I just swap out my calipers with the 13WL calipers and be good to go? (I know I know... why spend the money) - I'm just trying to find answers.

Third... can anyone recommend good brake pads for the S13WE? I bought some EBC ceramics to use and they're too big for my calipers and that's when I found all this out... just in case I keep my current calipers

Just look up brake pads for a 2000 - 2003 Tundra. You're looking for pads with a 4.7" length. They're still readily available just about anywhere. The 13WL pads will be 5.3".

Might as well get the right calipers and swap them on.

^^^ This. The point of the Tundra upgrade is bigger brakes, and you get quite a bit more (like 15% +) braking surface with the 13WL than the 13WE.

    (The rotors are the same.)

I ended up doing an impromptu write-up on a complete Tundra brake upgrade awhile back . Most of the info you need is in post #16 but the tread is a good read about my upgrade, references, and which parts to get. I went a bit over the top and completely reconfigured the brake lines from the frame down to the calipers in lieu of using the banjo fitting and a shorter bolt. The 13WL caliper isn't designed to properly seat a banjo fitting IMHO but I have seen it done on other writeups.

OEM pads seem to last a long while, and Napa Eclipse calipers are a great product for the money....

Been running this for about 3 years and 20K miles through just about every condition and have towed a bit in between. Very happy with this upgrade!

    Good luck.

Thank you everyone for the help... the calipers were a straight swap since I had already had the WE's on there. Got them all done and flushed the brake fluid while I was at it.
