Nephew brought me one of these yesterday.
Nice flavor. Perfect for the weather we are having right now.

Here it's a balmy 71 degrees and haven't seen the sun since yesterday. Enjoying this one right now. A wheat wine with more caramel taste than anything. Was bracing myself for the alcohol impact (12.8 ABV) but it's just too smooth.

Decided to try a real thin mash. Works well with my cream ale so we’ll see with this one.

    Columbus for bittering

I’ll mix the centennial chinook and calypso and do three ounces at flameout and the other three as a whirlpool.

For dry hop I’ll do either cascade or maybe crystal hops.

Yeast s05 or s04 or maybe both.

Yeah... Guida tagged him good right behind the ear and it was all over from there. Shame. Was looking forward to that fight. Had everything to be a great scrap. Oh well. I'm sure next time Joe will come back stronger.

They make a cider donut flavor which is fantastic! Really nice place too if you ever get to Syracuse. They distill as well.

I so need to get my brew on. Been way too long

I’m a fan. I have limited space so anything more than a single vessel wouldn’t work for me.

    Beer comes out great!

Although it can be hard to hit a particular original gravity; so replication can be a struggle. I don’t really brew that specific so no issues. Plus I have my system dialed in so I can pretty consistent efficiency’s.

I know of people who just keep dme around to top off of they’re short.

My goal is to get to 3 hour brew days and reduce my footprint if I can. I don't worry much about repeatability very often so that's not a concern for me either.

    Yeah I feel you.

If I’m doing a short day I’ll just buy an extract kit from a Homebrew store.

Extract has come a long ways and I enjoy a kit beer just as much as my grain beer.

One of the main reason I don’t do extract more often is I live a long ways from a Homebrew supply store. So I have to buy in bulk and store it. Extract doesn’t like that.

But if I’m thinking ahead I’ll order a kit.

Norther brewer has 20minute boil pale ale that I can do start to finish in about two hours. Super easy.

My buddy Ryan and I started our first brew today. Starting the fermenting phase over the next few weeks. Let’s see how it goes :fingerscrossed:

We started with a home brew kit that was an IPA with chinook hops. At this point we just want to get the process down before we start experimenting
