How do you guys like using the liners. I realize easier clean up but does it mess with taste or cook time?

I dont notice a taste difference and time is not effected to my knowledge. My crockpot video i tried something new, and baked 7 potatoes wrapped in foil under a liner that had a whole chicken in it, so i was using the liner as a divider and it worked awesome

You can post a pasties recipe any time ya like. Alabamian, raised in Michigan. Best of both worlds. But pasties is one thing I never learned.

Everything but the beef turned out good.
I used a chuck roast for the stew meat and I wasnt able to get it tender. It really toughened up.

How long did you cook it? I do deer shoulders in the crockpot on low for like 7 hours and they come out like butter

I made elk chili this weekend. Food processed onions, bell peppers, jalapenos, and garlic then sweated them down for about 10 minutes. Browned 1lb of ground elk and then 1lb of elk breakfast sausage and put that in. Added some kidney beans, chopped tomatoes, spices and the rest of my breakfast beer. Let it cook down for 5 or 6 hours. Ate with cornbread.

Boiled Peanuts in a crock pot:

Ingredients: Fresh green peanuts, salt, water, some will add franks hot sauce to give it some kick.

Steps: Turn crock pot on high, boil about 10-12 cups of water on the stove and add salt (to taste) I normally use a cup or two of salt. Once the water is boiling and crock pot is hot add peanuts to crock pot and add water. Stir the peanuts every hour or so. They normally take about 5-6 hours. If you like them with a little crunch and green taste, start tasting them around 4 hours and turn off when you've reached the desired taste. If you want it to taste more salty after they are cooked, let them soak in the water for 15 minuets to an hour.

The Szedged Paprika is the best for this. It truly is worlds above any other Paprika that I've tried.

oh yeah man gotta let that go a few more hours, I dunno how much experience you have with deer meat, but the should is super tough and full of connective tissue, but when you let it go in the crock pot several hours, all that sinew just melts away; the same should hold true for any tough cut of beef
