Reading the manual made me confuse. It says to turn clockwise on both remove and install.

To remove it, turn clockwise or counter clockwise? Forget to mention this is a 2.7 engine if it matters.

    Service Manual:

    To remove:
Turning the hexagonal bolt on the V-ribbed belt tensioner clockwise, loosen and then remove the V-ribbed belt.

    To install:
Turn the hexagonal bolt on the V-ribbed belt tensioner clockwise and install the V belt onto the V-ribbed belt tensioner pulley.

That is correct, must loosen tensioner by turning bolt clockwise to remove and install belt. Look up a video it will be clear.

I was reading it many times and thought it must have been wrong. So both install/remove are clockwise.

Unchained, how many miles do you have?

Yes you are not actually removing the bolt. Just removing tension off the tension pulley to remove and replace belt. It’s pretty stiff watch the fingers.
