Yeah I saw that a ton of people had raved about the snow performance just didn't know if anybody had a head to head with the stockers as a reference.

I'll be putting on AT3W tomorrow and will report back on snow and ice performance vs. stock. The stocks have been fine in light snow in Calgary, but compacted snow/ice traction is poor at best.

Here in western NY we got a taste of winter last Thursday night/Friday morning. Rain Thursday, got cold that night and switched to snow.

I leave for work at 4:30 am, my truck had maybe 1 1/2” snow and some ice on it. Most roads hadn’t been treated but they weren’t really snow covered, more of a crusty icy slush. Falkens did awesome, I could drive fairly normally in 2wd, obviously could still break traction by goosing it. Miles better than the stock hankook.
    Yes!

Can’t wait to get these tires a real test in some deep stuff.

Took out the wildpeaks for first time out the trails. There was a little bit of snow on the ground and they performed well. Other than the rubbing I have had(265/70/17), I have had no complaints with the tires.
    Thanks, 2008!

I just got a set of these, the tire jockey set them at 40psi cold. They ride pretty good. Tire guy said they can go up to 80psi cold which sounds kind of nuts. Not sure where I'm gonna run them at long term.

Hey everyone I need some help starting to get really pissed off trying to decide on these tires and most tire sales reps are always pushing me to bfg ko2.

I just want some advice in the following:

    I have a 2016 TRD off road

I drive in snow alot to ski, and I also do alot of highway driving.

I do some trail driving but nothing crazy

My wife likes a quiet tire, on my Silverado I had mud terrains, she likes the stock sounds now hated the Mt on my old truck.

    My questions:

    1. What's the best choice between bfg and these?
    2. What load range?
    3. Mounting them to scan Ray 10 any issues?
    4. Any known warranty problems or specific tire shops to be aware of?
    5. I live in Utah so anyone who can suggest a vendor would be greatly appreciated

I'm biased, but these tires in a SL P-rated would probably be perfect for you. They really are a quiet AT type tire.

    ETA-Discount Tire has them.

I have these in 285/70/17 SL, they are hands down the quietest AT tire I have ever owned. They have a very high load rating for a SL. I have zero complaints on snow performance.

I currently have a 2017 sport stock. I was planning on getting a good deal (500 bucks) on the FN FX wheels. I was going to stay stock at 265 70 17 LT. I am soon moving to WYoming. I will have an offroad teardrop camper to tow, a UTV trailer at times, and some mild off roading. Maybe a yearly trip to Moab or something fun like that. My concern is are the E range going to be too stiff of a tire for daily driving? I have never had AT tires. They only make the 265 in an E. I don't really want to go up to 285 mostly because of mileage issues. Is it going to kill my mileage that much? Also, I was wanting to wait to do an OME lift and just get tires/wheels now. So...

is the 265 E going to be a really stiff tire and make daily driving unejoyable? SHould i just find something in a C at that size?

They make the 265/70/17 in SL rating. LT265/70/17 is the E rated one

Have about 500 miles on my set at this point and was happy with them at first, but now for some reason I feel like I'm all over the road at highway speeds. Have to go over the mountain pass about 300 miles in a couple of weeks and hope to get it sorted before then.

Had an alignment done probably 1k miles before getting the tires btw. Going to try to get it in somewhere and see if they can balance them better. Any other thoughts?

I think the grippyness of silica plays a portion of this but you may need to check you're air pressure.

Thanks. I've played with the psi a bit since I got them, but will test some more today. If it was a balance issue how much vibration would we be talking? I definitely have more vibration than with the stock, but this is also my first AT tire, so I don't know what to expect.

The only vibe i got was after installed the lift. It was/is a drive line issue not a tire balance issue. Is your vibe at certain speeds or consistent?

Seems to only happen between 55-65 or so. Accelerating beyond that diminishes it.
