    Hello All,

Been awhile since I was on here but I have a question that I'm trying to get answered. My current setup for suspension is the old man emu with 2885 coils. I have recently installed a front bumper and rear bumper from Crusin offroad, and RCI skid plates. I'm wanting to take the sag out of the front now and I know the 2886 coils are still a rough ride after a bumper install and I would also need to replace the shocks to use these as I'm running the nitro charger shocks. I'm wondering if I go to a 2888 coil which is 10mm taller then the 2885's but the same spring rate if it will work. I also know there are the 2887 coils now also but they are only 5mm taller and I'm looking at putting a winch on soon. What are your guys/girls thoughts on the 2888's. Here are some pic's also of my rig.

I have expierence with trying the 888 on a 2005 dcsb stock no extra weight. It was a no go for me. Lift was 4 inches which is basically the entire down stroke of the shocks. Ride was way too stiff and forget about driving down any washboards. jacking the car on a control arm would lift the truck without compressing the suspension at all. Not sure how much weight you've added but it would need to be alot to overcome the extra length of the 888 which translates into built in preload.

I have a ICI Magnum steel bumper which is around 100lbs i think. I am running strait 5100s maxed out on stock coils and clear 285s. I have a small rake though and want to get about another 1/2" of lift . You think 887s would work out?

Honestly i would call headstrong offroad and take advatage of their expierence to get the right combination. wish i would have done that and saved a couple hundred bucks on trial and error. 887s sound about right but emu has so many choices now im just not sure.

    Nice looking ride btw!
