I got a remote starter installed today at Best Buy. Everything went well according to them. On my way home, the Check engine light and the Trac light went on. Also when I shift from P or N to D the transmission takes few secs to engage then it jerks. Except for that it runs smooth and transmission shifts fine.
I picked up the truck right before they closed so i wasn't able to get in touch with them. I am going to give them a call tomorrow. But I am afraid that they may mess up something if they try to figure out the problem. Any ideas about what might be the problem?

    Thanks

    Update.
So I took it back to Best Buy. The truck was showing p0705 code. They removed the remote starter, cleared the code. But it did not help. Check engine light came back and the transmission still not shifting right.
They acknowledged the issue and advised me to take it to the dealer.

I did some search and found some threads/posts about people having similar problems, but none had a definitive solution.

Let's see what the dealer is going to say.

So, the remote start was removed completely. The truck is normal now and dash lights gone.

Honestly, I'm afraid to even try. I would like to have a remote start, but do I need it? Not really.
Any DIY instructions on this? Any problems?
Just in case I changed my mind.
