My stealership wants $678+tax for an Anderson WDH which includes setting it up while I finalize my paperwork. I got a great deal on a USED 2018 Freedom Express 192RBS. Dry 4000#. Someone used it once and traded their entire rig. His $$ loss my HUGE gain. I can purchase the same WDH from another dealer for $490. I counteroffered my dealer to match the price, still, havent heard back. These things are simple to set up so here is my question.....

Do you think I could get away pulling the empty TT home behind my 16 DCLB OR hitting hard-topped back roads about 30 miles without a WDH and saving the money setting it up myself? Id prefer to pull it home setup but that kinda of money is stupid.

    Thanks in advance....

Why not take the WDH home, set it up and go back and get the trailer later? If you pay for it, won't they hold it for you a couple of days?

Then you can tow no risk.

Next, how far are you looking at going at 30? How's the weather? Chances are you'd be fine, but I can neither confirm or deny. (I'd likely do it, doesn't mean you should)

I have to have the truck/trailer and WDH together to set it up. My travel distance is 30 miles asphalt road. Could be raining but not freezing. And as you say "I'd likely do it, doesn't mean you should" is my gut feeling too.

Some of the guys on TW threads talk about taking 2 or 3 vacations before buying a WDH. I would take it home and set it up myself. I hate to pay someone to do something I can do myself.
