The lawsuit will fail, as other, similar suits. IIRC, a law was passed during the Bush 43 administration that protects the gun manufactures from suits brought that involve the mis-use of their products. I'll have to dig that up.

We're talking about the front. Though, I suppose if I was going to do the front in blue, the rear would have to be, as well. That much blue, I dunno.

its also about what you manufacture. If the gun industry manufactured dinner rolls for eating, and you stuffed it down someones throat to kill them, you didnt intend for that usage. But there is a fine line when you manufacture a item used to do exactly what it did and other things, and use it for that.

Now I am not showing my cards and picking a side.

I am just looking at it from a legal standpoint. And there is enough to waste everyones money for nothing there.

So, if I bought an ice pick at the liquor store, got a crazy idea, ran down the street, stabbing everyone I saw, killing dozens, should someone be able to sue the ice pick manufacture? My answer is a resounding, NO!

Looking at your post again, I'm guessing you're gonna say, "But guns are made for killing". It isn't the only thing that can be done with them. But they weren't designed for random indiscriminate killing of civilians.

again not the same. Ice pics are for picking ice. same with stabbing someone with a pencil, a pencil is for writing. The intent of a assault riffle (hand gun) is not to shave ice or write a letter. its to disable threats, win wars, stop people and vehicles with people. So he shot some people with it, that is one of intended uses. I agree this is a waste of everyones money, but lawyers like to get paid, and they will get paid for their time even if this doesnt go anywhere.

Yes. Sure you can do other things with a gun, like hunt (killing), protect (kill someone trying to kill you), look cool on instagram (killing me slowly).

But one use was always intended to kill. Unlike the other examples used here.

100% agreed. but its getting worse. its the elephant in the room. and we need a viable solution fast before gun laws start changing.
