What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Got colormatched door handles installed. And colormatched mirrors installed a couple weeks ago. Derping badges tomorrow and either going to paint or find a silver rear bumper. I'm liking the color match

My neighbor is retired and has a 2008 DCSB 6 speed 4x4 with 26k miles. I always tell him to call me when he is ready to sell it.

 

My mother in law has a 95 BMW 5 series V8 with 16K original miles.

I really need to do the same thing as you. Would flow so much better without the bare plastic.

 

I've had several people tell me to let them know when I'm ready to sell already. I don't like the looks of the 3rd gens so I'll probably own this one for a while.

 

Swapped out the chrome grille for a color matched one from Camelback Toyota! Thanks to @boogie3478 video, it was a super easy upgrade! Looks way better IMO. Dropped the Shell off today to be color matched as well. Now I just have to get rid of the chrome badges and I will be content for at least a little while.

Did some work putting some recovery gear together.


I added a shackle and tow mount from www.bpfabricating.com to the front end.



Made up some quick n dirty mounts for my maxtrax utilizing the maxtrax mounting pins.



And finally I mounted Plano boxes on my bed rack that contain all kinds of recovery goodies.

 

Would you guys recommend the ARB diff relocation kit? It’s 75 dollars on Amazon.

 

either paint yours, find a wrecked one and take them, or buy my old ones and scuff them real good and make paint them i have a set of 4 handles casue the guy i bought them from had a 4 door. so now i have 2 silver and 2 black handles. doing color matching has cleaned the truck up a lot.

Hay, has anyone maunted a winch in the factoy bumper? I want a winch but don’t have the money for a winch and bumper. Because it hit me earlier that I might be able to mount one in the factoy bumper

Did you customs fab the mounts for your winch?

 

Toyota. he had a silver sport with silver handles and wanted black ones. so he bought black handles and i bought is silver handles. was going to paint mine but i found these and snagged them.
